"It's less about what you do, and more about the time and space you give yourself to do it alone. It's in this space that you find yourself."
A Self-Exploration Journey into the foothills of Himalayas, spirituality and
A note from Rachel
Why solo travel?
At its core, solo travel is sooo transformative. Solo travel isn't really about the places you go -- it's about who you become when you give yourself that space to be you - the you that emerges when you're not playing a role to others (a friend, a partner, a mother, daughter, sister or employee). This solo trip is an invitation for you to be you instead of being someone for others.
When you're on your own, you start to see what you're capable of. You learn to trust your instincts, sit with your own company, discover what excites you when no one else is steering the plan. You get to navigate and make decisions as YOU, for nobody else but yourself. No external noises, just what you want. It builds self-trust, it reconnects you with your inner voice, it stretches your comfort zones. But most of all, it's the taking action to turn your fear into freedom because you've taken that leap of faith. When you realise you can handle uncertainty, you can do ANYTHING that you want, you begin to see yourself and the world differently. Life is not that serious!! it's an exploration of your inner landscape that you now allow yourself to express.
This leap of faith feels scary at first, but what's waiting on the other side is a deeper trust in yourself - and that's something you carry long after the trip ends.
Why Rishikesh?
Rishikesh holds a special place in my heart, not just for its spiritual energy, but because Rishikesh was the place that received me when I embarked on my first solo travel. I arrived with fear in my chest, but left with a sense of awakening and peace I never knew was possible. The cleansing Ganga, the rituals of the temples, the quiet mornings in the mountains and the busyness of the streets - everyone and everything I experienced in Rishikesh all of it guided me back to myself.
Rishikesh sits at the foothills of Himalayas where the Ganga river flows abundantly. For centuries, people have gathered there to practice yoga, meditation and spiritual study. Being here, arriving on this land, it carries with it the energy of stillness, an energetic stability, and people from all over the world come here for the same reason: to find themselves. It's the birthplace of yoga, but it's more than just about Asanas. Its potent energy guides you inward gently.
Extra note from Rachel:
This trip isn’t for everyone. It’s for womens only. This journey is for the women who feel the quiet pull inside her - the whisper that there is more to life than the routines, roles, relationship and responsibilities. It's for the women who've always dreamed of travelling alone but carried the weight of fear or "what ifs" holding her back. Here, you doesn't have to do it all alone - you can step into the freedom of solo travel while being held by the safety of sisterhood. It's for the women who want more than just a vacation - the ones who feel the desire to find themselves and are seeking clarity, peace, change and acceptance.
